Psy, the South Korean singer/rapper responsible for bringing the world Gangnam Style, has just inked a deal with Justin Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun.

For those of you living under a rock, Gangnam Style is the latest viral hit on the web. With more than 100 million YouTube views, it has done what was once thought impossible in the K-Pop community; it has launched a South Korean star into the American limelight.

Braun, the owner of Schoolboy Records, part of Universal Republic, has an eye for Internet stars. Before Psy he signed an exclusive deal with Carly Rae Jepson, the singer behind the 2012 summer anthem, Call Me Maybe.

In a video marking Psy's new deal, Braun shares a toast with the singer saying, “And we’ve come to an agreement to make some history together, [to] be the first Korean artist to break a big record in the United States. One of two things are going to happen here. Either we’re going to have a great successful career, or I’m going to throw up and the whole thing’s over.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Psy will kick off his American invasion this week by performing at the MTV Video Music Awards.
