Ronald Reagan hologram for RNC was planned

It turns out a hologram of former president Ronald Reagan was planned for the Republican National Convention.
However, the hologram was pulled over fears it would overshadow Mitt Romney's acceptance speech at the convention, according to Yahoo News.
"At the time he hadn't chosen Paul Ryan, so I think they were a little worried about his energy," Tony Reynolds, founder of crowd sourcing website A KickIn Crowd, told Yahoo News. "Even in a hologram form I think Reagan's going to beat a lot of people in terms of communicating."

Reynolds originally got the rights to a Reagan speech where he is discussing small businesses and plans to promote the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act for a separate project.
"It wasn't officially going to be part of the convention," explained Reynolds. "It was going to be outside of the convention at the Lakeland Center."
According to the Daily Mail, the hologram is being developed by Reynolds in conjunction with AV Concepts, which helped create the hologram of late rapper Tupac Shakur at the Coachella music festival in April.
Reynolds said it the Reagan hologram will make its debut later in the year or early 2013.
