Man without arms or legs swims from the US to Russia

French swimmer and amputee, Philippe Croizon, 44, just completed a swim between Russia and Alaska with the aid of prosthetic paddles.
The swim was Croizon's last leg of a 3-month swimming journey to cross the straits connecting every continent.
His other feats included swims between Papua New Guinea and Indonesia, across the English Channel, the Straits of Gibraltar, and the Red Sea between Jordan and Egypt.
His latest swim took one hour and twenty minutes and crossed between the US island of Little Diomede and Big Diomede in Russia, reported the Telegraph.
This was the hardest swim of my life, with a water temperature of 39 degrees and strong currents," Croizon told AFP after the crossing.
The Daily News reported that Croizon had his limbs amputated in 1994 after he was struck by high voltage lines while on his roof fixing an antennae.
