JERUSALEM — Capping a week of back forth rhetoric between the leaders of Iran and Israel, today Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called Israel a "cancerous tumor" and reiterated his belief that there is no place for the state of Israel in the future of the Middle East. He made the statement as Iranians attending a state-sponsored rally chanted "Death to America, death to Israel."

Israel has for months publicly debated launching a pre-emptive attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, which Israel and the United States believe are being used to develop nuclear weapons. Iran has maintained that its nuclear program is for domestic energy purposes only.

Many Israeli civilians believe that it isn't a question of if Israel will attack Iran, but when. While a poll suggest that the majority of Israelis oppose a strike on Iran, they are nonetheless bracing for a potential war.

Here's a sampling of opinions from the streets of Jerusalem.
