The first gold medal of the summer Olympic Games went to China's rifler Yi Siling today, reported The Guardian

Siling, 23, beat Poland's Sylwia Bogacka at today's women's 10-meter air rifle competition at the Royal Artillery Barracks in London, said The Guardian

Bogacka took silver, China's Yu Dan took bronze, and the Czech Republic's Katerina Emmons finished fourth, according to the Associated Press

Yi scored 502.9, Bogacka 502.2, and Yu 501.5, said AP
