Texas town renamed Bikinis

Doug Guller, founder and chief executive of ATX Brands, claims he has bought a town in Texas and renamed it Bikinis after his “breastaurant” chain.

Guller purchased the land that Bankersmith – which boasted a population of around 20 back in the 1950s – sits on through Craigslist, according to NBC.

The owner of the Texas restaurant chain Bikinis wants to turn the former railroad stop between Fredericksburg and Comfort into a “world class destination.”

He plans to host regular “events, with the first one slated for the fall, the Statesman reported.

"Bikinis, TX will be a world class destination and I am thrilled to expand the Bikinis brand to include town ownership," Guller said in a statement.

"There can't be a better way to put Bikinis on the map… literally."

It is not clear how much Guller paid for the unincorporated town, which was established in 1913 and named after Temple Smith, a banker who invested heavily in the construction of the railway line, the Dallas Observer reported.

Nor does Guller elaborate on his plans for the town, though it is a likely to involve lots of men and scantily clad women.
