Usher's 11-year-old stepson Kyle Glover has been declared brain dead after an accident on a Georgia lake, MTV News reported

Glover and a female friend were being pulled by a pontoon boat in an inner tube on Lake Lanier when a Jet Ski hit them, according to CBS News Atlanta. The driver of the Jet Ski has been identified as 38-year old Jeffrey Hubbard, a friend of the family's.

"According to one of my rangers, the Jet Ski ran on top of them (kids)," Sgt. Mike Burgamy, Lake Lanier Supervisor, told CBS News.

The second victim, a 15-year-old girl whose name was not released, suffered a cut on the head and a broken arm and is in stable condition, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Both children were airlifted to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston in critical condition, according to Reuters. Glover was still in critical condition Monday evening.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources reported that alcohol was not involved in the accident, though the cause of the crash is still unknown, according to Reuters.

The family has not yet pressed charges, but officials are still investigating the incident, Reuters reported.

“He’s bad,” Usher’s former wife Tameka Raymond told RadarOnline of her son's condition.

Usher has two children with Tameka — Usher V, four, and Naviyd, three – and the two are still locked in a custody battle over the kids, according to RadarOnline.
