Message received: teen in drunk simulator crashes golf cart
Three Indiana teens who wanted to become police officers – and the deputy showing them the ropes – had to be treated for injuries after a drunk-driving simulation went awry Monday.
Kids, don’t drive drunk. In fact, don’t even pretend to drive drunk because … oh, too late.
Three Indiana teens who wanted to become police officers – and the deputy showing them the ropes – had to be treated for injuries after a drunk-driving simulation went awry Monday.
A 14-year-old driver wearing glasses that simulated intoxication over-corrected a hard turn and tipped the modified golf cart in an obstacle course.
Police say wind was also a factor.
At the hospital, they were treated for injuries such as numbness and neck and head pain; the deputy suffered minor cuts, WNDU reported.

“You don’t want to get those phone calls,” Undersheriff Sean Holmes told the TV station. “I've been around long enough to know that stuff happens, accidents happen and that's what this was and that's all this was. Nobody was doing anything they shouldn't have been doing. It's just something that happened.”
One of the teens had to be airlifted to hospital.
The cart – which looks something like a bright, yellow Hummer – belongs to Safe Kids Elkhart County.
The teens were all members of the Explorers club for kids interested in law enforcement careers, The Courier-Journal said.
The incident happened in the Elkhart County Jail parking lot.
