LA Kings captain Dustin Brown is really sorry for dropping an F-bomb on live TV after his team won the Stanley Cup on Monday night.

During an interview after beating the New Jersey Devils to clinch the National Hockey League championship, NBC asked Brown if he imagined reaching the final as the eighth seed.

“That’s why we f---ing play,” he told Pierre Maguire.

He tweeted later, “What can I say? It was a pretty emotional time.”

Brown tied for the team lead with eight goals and 12 assists in the playoffs.

As captain of the team, he's given first chance to spend time with the Stanley Cup at home.

Brown returned to the NBC network on Tuesday night, making an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

On Leno, Brown said he would take the cup home to Ithaca, N.Y., before outlining how to hold the cup above your head and how to celebrate.

“Well, we were on the ice for a while with friends and family – that’s the benefit of winning on home ice. Then the boys got together in the locker-room for another couple hours,” Brown said. “Then we stayed at Staples for another couple hours with more friends and family, again, the boys took to a North End bar for another couple hours.”

The Kings won their first Stanley Cup since joining the NHL 45 years ago.

The Leno appearance was just one stop on a whirlwind publicity tour for the Kings and Lord Stanley’s mug.

Team members also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Kimmel said he felt like The Bachelorette as he asked the 18 Kings on stage who has celebrated most.

Kimmel then took a sip of something that looked like beer “and tastes like victory.”

However, the Stanley Cup’s overnight stay with the Browns is gaining the most attention.

With three kids under four years old, Brown’s wife posted video of two of them drinking chocolate milk from the bowl.

Jake and Mason are dressed in Spider-Man costumes as they blow bubbles in the milk with straws.
