A new untitled book by famed investigative reporter Bob Woodward is due out in September, and will hit newsstands before the 2012 election.

POLITICO confirmed the book will focus on President Barack Obama's handling of the economy, an issue that most voters polled say is their number one concern this election year.

Tracey Guest, a spokesperson for publisher Simon & Schuster, told the Associated Press she "had no other information to share" about Woodward's book.

As POLITICO wrote, Woodward's former research assistant Jeff Himmelman recently questioned the veracity of some of Woodward's Watergate coverage and interactions with his source Deep Throat, made famous in the book "All The President's Men" based on his reporting with Carl Bernstein for the Washington Post.

His reporting, under the Washington Post's executive editor Ben Bradlee, uncovered the Watergate scandal which eventually led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon on August 9, 1974.

Since 2002, Woodward has released books every two years about the current presidential administration, the AP wrote.
