Car flies off road and gets stuck in second-story wall of São Paulo home (VIDEO)

SÃO PAULO, Brazil — A car hung from the second-story wall of a São Paulo home on Sunday after its 25-year-old driver lost control at the wheel, crossing a stream and "flying" into the building, where it got stuck, reported national newspaper Folha. The driver, who hasn't been named, managed to escape the accident with only bruises, although he did have to be rescued from the car by firefighters, who lowered him to the ground with a rope.

Witnesses said the driver went down the street, crossed the stream and only stopped when he hit the wall of the house. According to G1, eight people were in the house at the time, five of which were children.

Two women and three children — one a six-month-old baby — were fast asleep when the car hit the wall of their home only 1 meter (just over 3 feet) from where they slept, according to R7. No one was hurt. 

Assistant Chief of Police Juarez Marques de Andrade said the driver will be subpoenaed to testify and will, at the least, be charged with driving without a license. "He brought danger to the lives of others," Andrade told G1. Police are still waiting for experts' reports to determine the speed at which the vehicle was traveling.
