In the Philippines, the ocean is boiling

GlobalPost

Coastal dwellers in the Philippines' Cebu province are observing a rather Biblical phenomenon: the ocean is boiling.

According to Manila's ABS-CBN News, government volcanology experts have traveled to a seaside village to study the phenomenon, which locals began to notice after a 6.9-magnitude earthquake in February.

The boiling, locals say, is most visible when waters recede during low tide.
