Hilary Clinton says she’s ready to leave politics (VIDEO)

Secretary of State Hilary Clinton said Thursday that she is ready to leave the "high wire of American politics."
Clinton — who has been in the political arena for over 20 years as a first lady, senator, aspiring presidential candidate and head US diplomat — told State Department officials on Thursday that she is looking to rest, the Associated Press reported.
"I think after 20 years…and it will be 20 years…it would be probably a good idea to just find out how tired I am," Clinton told reporters.
UPDATE: But before she does so, Clinton will continue her grueling travel schedule with a trip to Europe next week, the Associated Press reported.
The State Department said Friday that Clinton will attend the annual Munich Security Conference in Germany and then go to Sofia to discuss Bulgaria's role in Afghanistan.

Clinton also said she finds it "a little odd to be totally out of an election season" after running her own campaigns for president and the US Senate, as well as aiding her her husband, Bill Clinton, when he campaigned for president, UPI reported. She also said she has not watched any of the Republican debates.
She made it clear that she would stay on as Secretary of State until the President nominates someone else to fill her shoes, should Obama gets re-elected.
It is unclear what Clinton will do after she leaves her post.
She left the door open for a possible return, adding that "everyone always says that when they leave these jobs," according to the AP.
