Iraq bombing target police officers

BEIRUT — Several bombs ripped through an Iraq neighborhood at 4:00 AM local time Thursday, targeting the home of two police officers and their families. The Associated Press reported that 10 people were killed, including the officers and two infants.
The bombing took place near the city of Mussayib 30 miles south of Baghdad. The officers killed were Ahmed and Jihad Zuwaiyin, according to the AFP.
The explosions follow a series of similar attacks since US troops withdrew last month. A separate bombing today in Kirkuk, the mixed northern city, killed three and injured five, according to the BBC. A coordinated, four bomb attack on Tuesday in Baghdad's Sadr City killed 13 and injured 62.

Nobody has claimed responsibility for the Mussayib attack, the Washington Post reported.
