Black Sabbath preparing to release reunion album

Black Sabbath inspired legions of metal and hard rock musicians in the years after debuting Iron Man and Paranoid in the 1970s.
The good news for metal fans is that the original line-up of Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward and Tony Iommi will get back together for a new album in 2012. This will be the first time that the band has recorded together since 1978’s “Never Say Die!”
Hank Shteamer, associate music editor at Time Out New York, said Black Sabbath has become especially vital and popular again in recent years.
“Metal is really vital in the underground. Black Sabbatah is still really revered. They’re still a pretty vital force,” Shteamer said.
Shteamer said Black Sabbath has had a long career, despite the four original members parting ways early on.
“It’s unreal how many versions of Black Sabbatah there have been,” he said.
With the four originals coming back together, Shteamer said he’s looking forward to exploring the chemistry between the members.
