Penn State Students Respond to Paterno Riots

Thousands of Penn State students took to the streets of State College, Pennsylvania Wednesday night, furious over the firing of football coach Joe Paterno. Rioting students turned over a TV news van and ripped down two lamp posts. Paterno was fired over allegations that former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky sexually abused eight boys over a 15 year period. Penn State journalism majors Shade Olasimbo  and Greg Pickel, who writes for OnwardState.com, report on the riots and discuss how Penn State students see the media’s coverage of the scandal.
