Lindsey Vonn is already a Olympic gold medal winning skier. So why not add homecoming queen to the resume?
Vonn, a member of the U.S. Ski Team, accepted a date to a high school homecoming dance in Vail, Colorado. Sophomore Parker McDonald worked up the nerve to ask his dream girl to the homecoming dance, and she actually said yes, CBS News reported.
McDonald, a 16-year-old Vail Ski and Snowboard Academy student and Nordic skier, asked Vonn during a visit to his high school, the Vail Daily reported.
“I thought, ‘I need a date and there's Lindsey Vonn. I'll ask her!'” McDonald said, the Vail Daily reported. “She walked by my lunch table and I whipped out the question.”

But Vonn, who could have just said yes politely and blew off the young kid later on with an excuse about practice for the Olympics, went public about her future date as well. Later that day on her Facebook page she spilled the details about her hot date.
“Yesterday I visited the Vail Ski and Snowboard Academy and while I was eating lunch with all the students a 16 year old boy named Parker asked me if I would be his date for their homecoming dance, which is tonight,” Vonn gushed, the Vail Daily reported. “When Parker asked me he was cute, nervous and very polite so of course I said YES! :)”
“All through school growing up I never got the chance to go to a school dance so I'm excited for tonight!” Vonn, 27, wrote on her page, the Vail Daily reported.
Looks like dreams do come true-- or at least the holidays came early for this youngster.
