Rahul Gandhi to attend Bhutan wedding festivities
King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, is engaged to a 20-year-old commoner.
India's Congress Party general secretary, Rahul Gandhi, will be in Bhutan this weekend as he celebrates the wedding of the Bhutan King.
Gandhi and Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck are close friends, and the Indian political figure will attend Saturday's festivities as a "personal guest" of the monarch, the Times of India reports.

Dasho Kinley Dorji, secretary in the Bhutan ministry of information and communication, told the Times of India that Gandhi arrived in Bhutan Friday and will be attending Saturday's event at the fortress Tashichhoedzong.
Gandhi, 41, is the child of the late Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, president of the Indian National Congress.
King Jigme, 31, married Jetsun Pema, 21, at a traditional ceremony Thursday, and wedding festivities last three days.
The Hindu reports that the Bhutan ruling dynasty has had close ties with the Nehru-Gandhi family for generations.
