Argentine police seize liquid cocaine

Argentine police say they've seized 50 kilograms of cocaine hidden in gel packs for nursing sore muscles.

They also arrested a suspected leader of Mexico's "Las Zetas" cartel during the anti-drug operation on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, reports EFE.

The seized cocaine was valued at $27 million on European markets and was headed to Lisbon.

The cocaine had been diluted within an insulating gel, reports the Argentine Independent. The therapeutic products were to be shown at a fair in Argentina and then shipped to a trade fair in Portugal.

A Colombian and an Argentine were also arrested in the raids. The Argentine was accused of setting up a fake company to mask the drug trade to Europe, the Independent reported.
