Larry Flynt wants proof of Perry's sexual misconduct

GlobalPost

Larry Flynt, pornographic magazine publisher, has offered $1 million to anyone who can show proof that Texas Governor and Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry is having an illicit sexual affair, Reuters reports.

He reportedly took out a full page ad in The Onion, and the Austin Chronicle, seeking evidence of Perry's sexual habits.

This isn't new for Flynt. The Hustler magazine founder has a reputation for embarrassing public figures he dislikes- especially ones not as left leaning as him.

"I've been doing this for 35 years," Flynt said to Reuters. "We've found running these ads were very successful."

The most recently circulated ad reads:

"Have you had a gay or straight sexual encounter with Governor Rick Perry? Can you provide documented evidence of illicit sexual or intimate relations with the governor? Larry Flynt and Hustler magazine will pay you up to $1 million if we choose to publish your verified story and use your material."

Perry was the leading contender for the Republican presidential nomination heading into the Thursday's debate. He's ahead of Mitt Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts.

Flynt has also bought full page newspaper advertisements for the same amount for evidence of dalliances by congressional Republicans- especially those seeking to impeach Bill Clinton during the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

His dethroning successes from that round include Robert Livingston, the incoming US House Speaker in 1999- he resigned after Flynt claimed to have uncovered evidence of an extramarital affair.

And this isn't Flynt's first involvement in political scandals this year- he stepped up during the Anthony Weiner scandal offering the congressman a job after the whole sexting debacle, reports The Inquistr.
