Filming your world: a global video competition

The World

What is the one thing about your life and your surroundings that you want the whole world to know about? The BBC World Service is running a video competition called “MyWorld” that asks people to send in a two-minute video of the world from their perspective. The entries will be judged by filmmakers from different continents and the winning entrants will have their videos broadcast on the BBC.

The BBC’s Simon Pitts explains the project. We also hear from two video contributors: Ron Geren from Los Angeles, whose video tells the story of an important figure in his life. Matome Senyolo of Johannesburg created a love letter to his township.
