Aid workers in the U.S. speak on relief efforts underway in Haiti.

For many aide workers in the U.S., reaching out to the general populace is priority no. 1, even as gathering information from Haiti on loved ones is proving difficult for them in the aftermath of yesterday’s 7.0 earthquake. We speak with Gepsie Metellus, executive director of Sant La, a Haitian Neighborhood Center in Miami. We also check in with Roger Bilham, an earthquake expert and professor of geological sciences at the University of Colorado at Boulder, who offers details on the quake itself and the difficulties of rescue efforts.
