1941 was a year of sports legends in the making. John Hockenberry looks at the 56-game hitting streak of Joe DiMaggio, 23-year-old Ted Williams’ .406 batting average, and “Whirlaway” ? the horse that became the fifth ever to win the Triple Crown. We also hear from a retired legend: the great Babe Ruth, talking to a group of kids in New York earlier in 1941.
