British Prime Minister Gordon Brown will launch an inquiry into the Iraq War. Britain backed up the U.S. during the invasion of 2003 and British soldiers fought in Iraq. The war was unpopular in the U.K. and hurt the political standing of Brown’s predecessor Tony Blair.
