Technicolor

Studio 360

There are certain things we expect at the movies these days --- a bucket of popcorn, and color on the screen. But back when movies cost a nickel, they were all in black and white. 80 years ago, Technicolorrevolutionized movies forever. Bob Harris, a restorer of Technicolor films, and Scott Higgins, who teaches film at Wesleyan University, tell us about how Technicolor changed what we saw on the screen, and what we wanted to see. Produced by Trent Wolbe.
