Unprep’ed for Uncled

NPR’s David Welna reports on the slow start on preparations for the giant United Nations Conference on Environment and Development, or Earth Summit, to be held next month in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Major construction on the site of the official conference began only a month ago, while organizers of a large meeting of non-governmental organizations has had trouble raising money.
