How puffins made it back to Maine's Egg Rock

Project Puffin, a National Audubon Society project, is the story of how the beloved Puffin seabird was restored to its long-abandoned nesting colonies off the Maine coast. Dr. Stephen Kress and Derrick Z. Jackson have written about the restoration project in a new book. Here, Jackson talks about Project Puffin and the importance of restoring these symbolic birds to their island home.
