VIDEO: Another GOP senatorial candidates gets in trouble over comment about rape, abortion

Richard Mourdock, the Republican running for U.S. Senate from Indiana, infuriated many Tuesday night when, during a debate, he said that "when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen." The comments have put Mourdock and even Presidential candidate Mitt Romney back on the defensive, especially with women.

Over the weekend, Mitt Romney announced that he'd chosen Paul Ryan as his running mate in the upcoming presidential election. And while Republicans praised the pick as bold and game-changing, and something that would rally the conservative base, Democrats sought to paint him as out of touch and, perhaps worse, as the ideological leader of a deeply unpopular U.S. Congress.

Mitt Romney and Barack Obama have divergent views on Guantanamo Bay — at least based on statements made years ago. In the current election cycles, neither man has really talked about the future he sees for the prison. But whoever is elected will be faced with precedent-setting cases in short order.
