Tim Freccia

Tim Freccia is an American photographer and cameraman based in Kenya who covers crisis and conflict.

His work has been featured in Der Spiegel, The New York Times, Business Week, BBC, al Jazeera, The National and other print and broadcast outlets.

In 2005 Freccia spent 10 months covering the Indian Ocean tsunami, and produced over 100 hours of footage, beginning in Banda Aceh in the first week after the disaster.

Recently Freccia covered fighting in Eastern Congo, the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia in Mogadishu and he has just returned from three weeks in Haiti following a 7.0 earthquake.
