Stephanie Daniel is the American Dream reporter at KUNC, a public radio station covering northern Colorado. From higher education to health care, she reports on the barriers people face and overcome to create a better life for themselves and their families. Her multimedia series on Colorado's changing workforce was a finalist for the 2019 Education Writers Association National Awards for Education Reporting.

Students at the University of Colorado Law School in Boulder are learning the law by providing free legal services to immigrants in the community. Some of them come from immigrant families themselves.

DACA recipient Nohemi Salas is enrolled in the dental hygienist program at Community College of Denver and received Colorado state financial aid to help pay for college.
