Lisa Blackmore has been living in Caracas since 2005. She is a Latin American cultural studies graduate and is currently completing her doctoral thesis on 1950s Venezuela, while teaching photography and writing for regional publications on arts and culture. She publishes in both English and Spanish and her work has featured in The New Statesman, ArtNews, The Independent, Art Nexus and El Nacional, among others publications. She was brought up in the U.K. but since 2000 has traveled and lived extensively in Latin America.
