Jon Rosen is a freelance writer focusing on East and Central Africa and the global economy.

Based in Kigali, Rwanda, Rosen has reported from Kenya, Tanzania, Italy, and Washington, DC for publications including GlobalPost, the BBC, USA Today, and the World Politics Review. He is the author of a forthcoming book on East Africa’s Maasai people.

A native of Amherst, Massachusetts, Rosen holds a B.A. from Tufts University and an M.A. from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
