Barnier previously worked at ABC News in New York on the Business & Financial beat, and in London as an International Digital Reporter. He has also contributed reports to  Le Monde, BusinessWeek, Les Echos, Bloomberg, AP and Reuters. His work has taken him across Europe, and into the Middle East, North Africa and Asia. He is a graduate of Sciences Po in Paris and studied at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism in New York. He speaks English, French, Italian and Spanish.
