Berlin hummus festival unites people from across the Middle East

On the surface, the one-day Berlin Hummus Festival looks like a mere celebration of a much-loved side dish. But the humble legume brings together thousands of people, regardless of their religious or political backgrounds. Israelis, Palestinians, war refugees from Syria and, of course, Germans, revel in this gathering, all in defiance of gloomy Middle East headlines. Alexa Dvorson reports from Berlin.
