UN warns of looming famine in Somalia amid drought

Somalia has been through severe drought before. In 2011, drought in the Horn of Africa killed more than 250,000 people. Now, the United Nations is warning that Somalia is on the brink of famine once again, facing the worst drought in more than 40 years. Already, there are reports of rising child malnutrition, livestock dying, and half-a-million people leaving their homes in search of food and water. The World’s Africa correspondent Halima Gikandi reports from Somalia.
