Online campaign to find Russian POWs

If you’re watching the invasion of Ukraine on Russian TV, it looks quite different than it does from the US. Broadcasters are forbidden from describing it as a war, or sharing information that does not come from the Kremlin. Russian media have even blamed attacks on civilian targets on Ukrainians themselves. But Ukraine has found a powerful tool to cut through the Kremlin’s disinformation: “Find Your Own,” an online campaign to help Russian families identify their loved ones who died in battle.
