Blinken visits Southeast Asia, with China top priority

Secretary of State Antony Blinken is spending the next several days in Southeast Asia, and he began his trip in Indonesia on Monday. Blinken met with President Joko Widodo and expressed support for Indonesia’s democracy and the country’s role in the Indo-Pacific region. As The World’s Patrick Winn explains to host Marco Werman, the Biden administration is keen to demonstrate a US commitment to the region at a time when China’s influence is growing.
