Tensions are high in the world’s youngest nation, South Sudan, following a recent surge of violence and political infighting. Regional peace monitors in the country now say the fighting and insecurity threaten the peace deal that was achieved in 2018, but still has not been implemented in full. As David Lomuria reports, ongoing violence has cut out main trade routes to the capital, Juba, further impacting the livelihoods of South Sudanese.
