US President Joe Biden plans to overhaul the asylum system. If the changes are enacted, they will immediately impact people seeking asylum and greatly impact people arriving at the US-Mexico border. But the administration faces other hurdles — including a recent order from a federal judge to reinstate Donald Trump’s Remain in Mexico Policy. The US Supreme Court temporarily blocked that order.
