In Afghanistan, there are pockets of relative safety. And then there’s the rest of the country.

Since president Biden announced the unconditional withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan back in April, the Taliban has been running over districts across Afghanistan. It has yet to take over major cities, such as the capital Kabul, but the question remains about how much longer the Afghan security forces can hold the group back. The World’s Shirin Jaafari reports.
