The small community of Lytton, British Columbia, has the town slogan “Canada’s hot spot” because it’s well known for reaching high temperatures. But this week’s heat wave caused the town’s temperatures to soar, reaching 121 degrees Fahrenheit on Tuesday. On Wednesday, everyone was evacuated as 90% of the town burned to the ground.
