More migrants, facing a stricter border, attempt to enter the United States by sea 

On the California coast, there’s a rise in the number of people trying to enter the US by sea. The boats are shoving off just south of the US-Mexico border, often crammed with people, often without life preservers. KPBS’ reporter Max Rivlin-Nadler says that the increase in attempts to enter the US this way could be tied to a controversial policy along the border.
