NASA chooses Venus for its next missions

When it comes to big-ticket space missions, Venus has been overlooked for the last three decades. Venus researchers now have reason to shake off the identity of “underdog” because NASA has chosen not one but two spacecraft missions to better understand Earth’s hot volcanic neighbor. The World’s Marco Werman discusses the missions with Venus enthusiast and planetary geologist Paul Byrne at North Carolina State University.
