A remake of ancient Greek dictionary does away with Victorian-era ‘prudery’ and antiquated language

A Victorian-era English dictionary of ancient Greek, widely used in the United Kingdom and the United States, has gotten a much-needed update for the first time in nearly two centuries. The World’s Lydia Emmanouilidou reports the new version of The Cambridge Greek Lexicon takes a fresh look at an ancient language, and does away with the “antiquated Victorian … prudery” that defined its predecessor.
