This month, Kenya launched its first-ever national wildlife census, an ambitious plan to count more than 1,000 wildlife species across the country. Kenya’s diverse wildlife has made it a top tourism destination. Officials and researchers hope the data collected from the census will help the tourism industry, as well as conservation efforts.
