Turkey announces full lockdown ahead of Eid celebrations 

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has announced a full lockdown for the next two weeks as the country experiences a surge of COVID-19 infections and deaths. The lockdown comes as Muslims get ready to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, the end of Ramadan. The World’s Shirin Jaafari spoke with some store owners in Istanbul about the measures.
