Pakistani composer Arooj Aftab reflects on her latest record ‘Vulture Prince’

A song can be like a time capsule, forever carrying a single moment. It can take you right back to the sounds and smells of your childhood or to a fleeting conversation. As part of an ongoing series from The World called “Movement,” Ethiopian American musician Meklit Hadero speaks to Aftab about her migration story and what has influenced her music.
