In response to the United Nations Human Rights Council’s decision last year not to create an independent commission to investigate police brutality in the US, 12 high profile international human rights activists made one of their own. As The World’s Rupa Shenoy reports, their newly-released report recommends that the International Criminal Court investigate the US for failing to uphold its citizens’ human rights.
