Armenians praise Biden over recognition of genocide

President Biden on Saturday gave official US recognition of the Armenian Genocide, which began in 1915 and was responsible for the deaths of some one million Armenians at the hands of Ottoman Turkish forces. Jason Sohigian, executive director of the Armenian Museum of America, tells host Marco Werman that people in Armenia and in the diaspora were pleased by Biden’s move, and he hopes that one day Turkey can come to terms with the genocide and be willing to have more peaceful relations with Armenia.
