Namibian authorities seek genetic proof of twins’ paternity from gay couple

Namibian authorities are refusing to provide travel documents to newborn twins, who were born via surrogacy in South Africa, to a gay Namibian couple. The twin girls have been rendered de facto stateless, and remain stuck in South Africa with one of their fathers. Advocates say this is state-sponsored homophobia.
